Can AI Learn Language the Way Babies Do?

AI systems like GPT-4 have made headlines for how well they learn and use human language, but they do that by ingesting astronomical amounts of data from the internet-more text a human would encounter in 100,000 years. Human babies, meanwhile, learn words with much less input, just by absorbing what's in their own environment. What would happen if an AI system had to learn words the way kids do...

My darling. About Austin Swift There are Swifties and there are Swifty supporters. Swifites call her "Mom", Swifty supporters are older than her, we call her "Dr Swift" hear this. Taylor never misses and opportunity to thank her brother Austin. Taylor was a not pretty, not popular theater kid who got picked on in High School. She wanted to drop out and use her college money to go to Nashville and get a "fresh start", by herself. her Parents said, NO WAY YOU ARE 14 YEARS OLD AND THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN, but we can work something out. Austin was happy in Pennsylvania, if he said no, they would've stayed., but he was willing to move for his sister, so she could be happy. You may not be as gifted as Taylor, but you can at least be Austin Swift, he is one of her heroes. Are you listening, because that's something she wants you to hear. Don't try to Taylor, try to be Austin. I love you. Sophie's World is one of my favorite books.

I published a book of poems in 1992 and much later I suggested the author submit the same work to a larger publishing house, which she did. I later decided, since I have first publishing rights, to republish the book as it was, unhappy with what I considered a botched republishing of the book that included several poems that I would not have published. I was also upset that the publisher when re-publishing the book used blurbs that I had first published without asking my permission, nor was I given credit for them. I assume having established first publishing rights, I am protected from any legality regarding my right to republish a work as it was first published by me. Note, before I published the second edition of the author's book of poems, I told her of my intention without objection. I assume I am protected. I'm not worried about the author. I am concerned somewhat about the other publisher's response, should that happen. I formally copyrighted the title that was included in Books-in-Print in 1992. The author's book was not republished until about 2015. I published a second edition of the book in 2022 at Amazon using its publishing platform. Nothing has come of it, but on occasion I think about it. What are my rights as first publisher of a title?

Giuseppe Catapano: "Atlantida which disappeared 12,000 years ago, was the land of the Pelasgians (ancestors of Albanians), who escaped the flood of Atlantis and began new civilizations on all continents, especially in Europe, Africa and small Asia". THOTH spoke Albanian! Thot means "to say" in Albanian Language. Pelasgian means "the Caveman" (Shpellazg). Zeus was a Pelasgian, not a Helen! After Illyad, the Language of Gods was Gheg.(Herodotus) A study recently published in Science Magazine 2023 proves the antiquity of the Albanian language, which is much earlier than the Greek and Armenian languages > 8000 years old. The oldest settlements of Europe > 8000 years old were found in Ohrid Lake Albania. Sanskrit, old Greek, and Latin languages are already dead. The Albanian Language "GHEG Dialect" is still alive! It is the Indo-European language, a proto Indo-European language, indeed. It deciphers the symbols and other languages.
